TRAVEL IN ESTES PARK
While a car is highly recommended for exploring the area, Estes Park offers a convenient free summer transit service, "The Peak," from late May to late October providing easy access to destinations within Estes Park and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
WINTER DRIVING
Estes Park's snow plow crew is excellent, ensuring regular clearing during snowstorms. However, significant blizzards can cause delays. Given our 8,000-foot elevation and heavy snowfall from October to May, we strongly recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Our maintenance team will plow/shovel the driveway. We also provide shovels and ice melt at the property for your convenience.

This was the best vacation home our family has ever had. House was well equipped beyond our expectations. Spacious and beautifully decorated. Response from property manager was immediate. I highly recommend for families with small children or all adults. The plus was seeing deer every morning and even a bear down the street.
Our family stayed at The Gathering Place for a week, using it as a base while we explored Rocky Mountain NP and the surrounding areas. We had a great time staying here, and appreciated how close we were to the park entrance. The house itself was lovely, and had lots of room to spread out and relax. Our small kids loved the games and toys at the house, and especially enjoyed getting to see elk roaming the yard almost every day. Overall, the house was very clean, spacious, and well-stocked, and we would recommend it to families looking to visit RMNP or anywhere near Estes Park.

The house was perfect for our family with space and places for everyone from young to not so young:) It was clean, beautiful, relaxing and the hot tub at sunset was like a dream.
Sara and Barry were the ultimate hosts for our family trip to Estes Park. They were friendly and provided updates and information leading up to the trip. Everything about our mountain retreat home was superb and well thought out! The home had all of the amenities we needed, plus some. The neighborhood is quiet and very accessible to restaurants and downtown Estes Park. Each level of the home felt very private so our family was able to have our own space as needed when we weren't gathering in the common spaces. The hot tub was fabulous, especially on the day it snowed. Most importantly, the beds were very comfortable. We made wonderful memories as a family and are excited to book our next trip!
